COLOR SPLASH 5K & JR COLOR SPLASH RUN

Girls on the Run Color Splash 5K is a non-competitive event that benefits Girls on the Run of Northeast Tennessee. The event is not timed. A clock will display time at the finish line, but individual times will not be recorded. This also a color splash event. Participants choose whether or not to participate by running through designated areas where they will be dusted with colored powder. The color will wash out of most fabrics but tends to stay on shoes. Dress appropriately if you are going to participate. The 5K fee is $20.00 through May 6, 2013 and $25.00 thereafter and on race day. If you register by May 6, 2012, you are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Registration will be open race day. Junior Color Splash is new this year and we encourage participation from those 7 years and younger. This event is all for fun. The non-competitive race is 600 meters (around 6 football fields in length). It will include a color splash station for the kids to run through if they choose where they will be dusted with colored powder. The color will wash out of most fabrics but tends to stay on shoes. Dress appropriately if you are going to participate. The entry fee is $10 per participant in advance or day of the event. Click here for online registration. We need your shoes! Learn more about Green Sneakers by clicking here. This organization collects used shoes for the less fortunate. Each site will be competing to see who can collect the most used shoes. Each participant is encouraged to bring sneakers on race day. Want to help? Click here.
